Power-Metal-Fans dürfen sich freuen: Die deutschen Genre-Größen Masterplan kehren nach mehr als einem Jahrzehnt mit einem brandneuen Studioalbum zurück. „Metalmorphosis“ erscheint am 26. Juni 2026 über Frontiers Music Srl und markiert das erste Album mit neuem Material seit „Novum Initium“ aus dem Jahr 2013.
Gitarrist und Bandgründer Roland Grapow beschreibt die Bedeutung des Albums mit deutlichen Worten:
„Metalmorphosis beschreibt perfekt, was dieses Album für uns bedeutet: eine Transformation, die dennoch dem Geist von Masterplan treu bleibt. Masterplan wurden 2001 von Gitarrist Roland Grapow und Schlagzeuger Uli Kusch nach ihrem Ausstieg bei Helloween gegründet. Bereits das selbstbetitelte Debütalbum aus dem Jahr 2003 wurde von Fans und Kritikern begeistert aufgenommen und etablierte die Band schnell als feste Größe im europäischen Power Metal.
Mit Alben wie „Aeronautics“, „MK II“, „Time To Be King“ und „Novum Initium“ entwickelte die Band ihren unverwechselbaren Stil kontinuierlich weiter. Die Kombination aus starken Melodien, technischer Präzision und modernen Power-Metal-Elementen brachte Masterplan internationale Anerkennung und zahlreiche Tourneen rund um den Globus ein.
Nach längerer Studioabstinenz unterschrieb die Band kürzlich einen weltweiten Vertrag mit Frontiers Music Srl und startet damit ein neues Kapitel ihrer Karriere. MASTERPLAN ANNOUNCE NEW STUDIO ALBUM “METALMORPHOSIS”
Power metal legends Masterplan are set to make a triumphant return with their brand-new studio album “Metalmorphosis”, scheduled for release on June 26, 2026, via Frontiers Music Srl.
The album marks the band’s first collection of new material since “Novum Initium”, released in 2013, ending a thirteen-year wait for fans around the world.
Guitarist and founding member Roland Grapow shared his excitement about the upcoming release:

Founded in 2001 by guitarist Roland Grapow and drummer Uli Kusch following their departure from Helloween, Masterplan quickly established themselves as one of the leading forces in European power metal.
